I possess a wide range of skills which I have accrued in my previous and current employments, most of which are, but not limited to, web and print based creative design. I am always eager and willing to learn new skills and procedures and consider myself a valuable asset to any business. I have a good understanding of the way companys operate and i pick up concepts very quickly. I like to constantly improve myself and like to feel there is always something new to learn.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Web Marketing Assistant

Hills Panel Products
I presently work for Hills Panel Products (HPP) in Oldham developing their ever expanding website. My main roles are creating new product range web pages, designing a large amount of the printed marketing materials, filming, editing and producing informational videos for the Hill's Panel Products YourTube channel, adding new products to their product pages, helping to move the HPPOnline.co.uk website up the Google rankings using SOE (Search Engine Optimization) and creating customer accounts in their SQL database.

Brother-UK
Creating and maintaining content on the Brother.co.uk web site.
Up until I was made redundant on the 9th of March 2009, I was working at Brother-UK as a digital marketing specialist maintaining and updating the Brother.co.uk web site. I used the Adobe CS3 Creative suite to produce graphic work and Flash content for the site. I created virtually all the Flash content on the site as I was the only member of the web development team who knew how to use Flash to create advertising banners, home page key visuals, interactive animations and animated headers / footers. I also produced a lot of the graphical work on the site as I know Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator very well too. We used a content management system to actually build the web pages but I also used Adobe Dreamweaver to create the Eshot advertising emails we send out. I also know Dreamweaver very well too and have used it to build a couple of web site of my own, www.holi-daze.co.uk and www.Our-Pub.co.uk (The latter being a new site, only started 23/2/09, so is still being developed). I have been using an Apple Mac for the last 3 years so am fully Mac literate, as well as PC, so I’m comfortable using either Windows or OS X platforms.

I am currently trying to develop a design and print based business of my own creating advertising and promotional materials for local pubs, bars and other businesses. I have gathered quite an extensive list of clients up to now and done work for lots of pubs, bars, and restaurants. Most of my designs are on my website, Our-Pub.co.uk which I use to promote my participating pubs.

Brother UK
I first started at Brother UK working in the Electronics Workshop repairing and refurbishing returned machines. After 3 years I moved into the returns department sorting through the returns and assessing which machines were worth refurbishing. Since I started work in the returns department I have taken on several other responsibilities including stock control, booking in returns generating credits for distributors, dealing with end users and booking in customer machines for repair, I have an excellent understanding of the SAP computer system used by all Brother sites worldwide and I have acquired stacker truck licenses for both reach trucks and counter balances.
